Board of Events

As of 2023, the Society for the History of the Humanities contains a separate Board of Events (BoE). The BoE will organize the bi-annual Making of the Humanities-conferences with support from the SHOH. In addition, during odd years the BoE will organize a new series of satellite workshops, typically around a unifying theme. This decentralized forum is intended to complement the bi-annual conferences, providing a new route for advancing – and extending – the conversation on the history of the humanities.

The current members of the BoE volunteered at the business meeting at the last Making of the Humanities conference in Pittsburgh (2022). They are:

Isak Hammar (Lund University, Chair)

Eric Hayot (Penn State)

Judith Kaplan (Science History Institute)

Camilla de Simone (University of Chieti)

Floris Solleveld (KU Leuven)
